8 states finalise action plan for agri export policy

The administration on Sunday said eight states, including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Karnataka, have settled activity plan for farming fare arrangement which expects to twofold such fares.
"The Agri Export Policy was reported a year ago with a goal of multiplying the fare and guaranteeing multiplying of ranchers' income... Many states have named nodal organization and nodal official. Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Nagaland, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Punjab and Karnataka have settled the State Action Plan and different states are at various phases of finish of the activity plan," the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said in an announcement.
The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) has been embracing an engaged methodology for guaranteeing more prominent inclusion of the state governments for compelling usage of Agri Export Policy (AEP). A Farmer Connect Portal has likewise been set up by APEDA on its site for giving a stage to Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and Farmer Producer Companies to collaborate with exporters, it said.
More than 800 FPOs have been enlisted on the entry.
